The short version. We collect the email address you give us, the payment details you enter with our payment processor (we never see or store your card), the documents you upload for analysis, and ordinary web analytics. We do not sell your information and we do not share it with franchisors. If you want your data deleted, email us and we will delete it.
What we collect
Information you give us directly
Your email address when you request the playbook, join a waitlist, or create an account. Your name and any message you send us. Any Franchise Disclosure Document or other file you upload for analysis.
Payment information
Purchases are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered directly with Stripe and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We receive only a transaction record — amount, date, status, and the last four digits of the card.
Information collected automatically
IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, and interaction events, via product analytics and standard server logs. If you arrived from an advertisement, we may receive the campaign and keyword that referred you.
Cookies
We use cookies necessary to operate the site and to measure how it is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; parts of the site may stop working if you do.
Why we collect it
To deliver the analysis you asked for; to process payments; to send you the specific thing you signed up for; to answer you when you write to us; to keep the service running and secure; to understand which pages and campaigns work; and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We do not use your uploaded documents to train third-party AI models.
Documents you upload
Uploaded disclosure documents are processed to produce your report and are retained so you can retrieve that report later. Ask us to delete an uploaded document and we will delete it, along with the derived report, within thirty days.
Document text is sent to our AI processing provider solely to extract figures for that report. Extraction results are cached against a cryptographic hash of the document so identical documents are not reprocessed.

Only with service providers who need it to run the product, each under their own terms:

We also disclose information where required by law, and to a successor if the business is sold — in which case this policy continues to apply until you are told otherwise.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your identity, your uploaded documents, or your report with any franchisor, broker, or franchise system.
How long we keep it
Account and transaction records for as long as your account is active and afterwards as required for tax and accounting purposes. Uploaded documents and reports until you ask us to delete them. Analytics data in aggregated or de-identified form.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export the personal information we hold about you, and to stop sending you email. Email us and we will act within thirty days.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended gives you rights to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither), and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. If you are in the UK or EEA, you have equivalent rights under the UK GDPR and GDPR, including the right to complain to your supervisory authority.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach affects your personal information we will notify you as required by law.
Children
The service is for adults evaluating a business purchase. It is not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
International transfers
We are based in the United States and our providers process data in the United States. If you use the service from elsewhere, your information will be transferred here.
Changes
We will update the date at the top when this policy changes. Material changes will be announced on the site.
